Organized by Cancerinformation.com.hk Charity Foundation, YatHei Medical Centre was honored to participate in the “Promoting the Communication of Chinese and Western Medicine in Hong Kong – Colorectal Cancer Symposium”.
     

The seminar invites several experts to deliver lectures in person, including Secretary of the Party General Branch and Director of the Oncology Center, The First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine Professor Cao Yang, Western medicine professors, Surgeons Dr. Oswens Lo Siu Hung and Dr.Philip Ming Ho Kam, Gastroenterology Dr.Pierre Chan, Oncologists Dr. Tsan Wai Kong, Maverick and Dr. So Tsz Him, Traditional Chinese Medicine experts Dr. Wendy Wong and Dr. Chan Kai Yin, Chinese Medicine Practitioner Chu Kwok Tung, Pharmacy Professor Clara Bik-San Lau, and Nursing Professor Naomi Takemura. The symposium focused on fostering collaboration between Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and Western medicine in colorectal cancer care. It emphasized integrative approaches that support patients throughout treatment, rehabilitation, and holistic well-being.

Medical professionals from diverse specialties across Hong Kong and mainland China—including clinical oncologists, internal medicine physicians, surgeons, pharmacists, nurses, and TCM practitioners—shared insights and engaged in in-depth discussions on topics such as alleviating treatment-related side effects, enhancing functional outcomes, and improving survival.
