Yat Hei Medical Centre
Yat Hei Medical Center (former of Dr Wendy Wong’s Clinic) was established in January 2020 under the lineage of Prof. Chen Bingzhong at the Hong Kong Institute of Integrative Medicine, Chinese University of Hong Kong. Initially serving 200 patients, we have now expanded our services to cater to over 1700 cancer patients. While our Chinese medicine services utilize the four diagnostic methods for prescription and acupuncture, most patients come to us after seeking conventional diagnoses and treatments.
We strictly adhere to evidence-based treatments, relying on the best clinical trials, optimal clinical application, and respect for patients’ values. Patient safety is our utmost priority, and the treatments we provide are determined based on the latest observable histo-pathology, imaging or blood reports, as well as the list of medications. We remain open to learning from the latest clinical guidelines and diligently incorporate international, regional, and local guidelines to continually enhance our services.
Yat Hei Medical Centre specializes in the treatment of oncology and gynecological conditions. In oncology, Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is used at different stages of cancer treatment. It may serve as an adjunct to Western medical procedures like surgery, radiation therapy, chemo-, target, or immunotherapies to reduce toxicity and enhance efficacy. In some cases, TCM may also be used as a standalone treatment according to the patients’ conditions.
Gynecological conditions ranges from infertility, postpartum recovery, insufficient lactation, menstrual irregularities, abnormal menstrual flow, dysmenorrhea, amenorrhea, premenstrual syndrome, menopausal syndrome, abnormal vaginal discharge, excessive leukorrhea, vaginal itching, pregnancy-related illnesses, abdominal pain during pregnancy, pregnancy eczema, fetal restlessness, post-miscarriage recovery, and more.
Furthermore, the centre also addresses various internal medicine and orthopedic symptoms. Internal medicine conditions encompass chronic pharyngitis, nasal allergies, asthma, eczema, acne, dermatological conditions, and others. Orthopedic conditions include frozen shoulder, sciatica, cervical spondylosis, tennis elbow, carpal tunnel syndrome, ankle sprains, lumbar disc herniation, acute lumbar strain, and different types of pain.
